55 Chinese and 20 Bulgarian universities participated in the Bulgarian-Chinese Rector’s Forum, which was held at the University of National and World Economy.
Among the Bulgarian high schools was the University “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov”, represented by Prof. Dr. Irena Markovska, deputy head of education quality, accreditation and personnel.
The forum aimed to build new ways of academic and scientific interaction and expand partnership with higher education institutions from China.
Within its framework, some universities signed memoranda of cooperation.
Dr. Markovska talks with four Chinese universities, with which memorandums of cooperation are signed.
After a conversation between Dr. Markovska and Mr. Yang Tian, who is the head of the “Education” department at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Bulgaria, it became clear that he wants to visit Burgas and meet personally with the head of the university, Prof. Hristo Bozov, MD
The prestigious forum is organized with the support of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China and in conjunction with the China Education Association for International Exchange.
The guests of honor at the event were the Deputy Minister of Education and Academic Science Nikolay Vitanov and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Bulgaria, His Excellency Dai Qinli.
