Due to high temperatures and strong winds, extinguishing is almost impossible
Four large fires are currently burning in different places in the Burgas region. This is reported by the police.
The first one caught fire in the village of Belevren, municipality of Sredets. A deciduous forest is burning between the village and the border. The area is difficult to access, which makes extinguishing activities extremely difficult. Volunteers also joined the fight against the elements.
Shortly after 4:00 p.m. between the villages of Rosen and Ravna Gora, Sozopol municipality, stubble and bales of straw caught fire. Nearby there are pens with cows, sheep and goats. Due to the strong wind and high temperatures, the fire spread to the forest in the direction of the village of Marinka.
Half an hour later, a fire broke out in the area of the station in Karnobat. A short circuit in a cable set the grass on fire. There are bales stored nearby and there is a danger of the fire engulfing them.
Shortly before 5 p.m., firefighters also responded to a fire alarm in the Rouen village of Tranak. Dry grass is burning near the cemetery and the forest.
Fighting the elements is difficult, as the temperatures in the Burgas region are over 30 degrees. Wind also blows, moderate in places, which in turn helps the fire to grow. All the available equipment of the fire department in the areas was involved in extinguishing. The teams are on the ground. Forest officials and volunteers are also helping firefighters. A fire warning is in effect for both today and tomorrow due to high temperatures, be careful!
