Burgas English High School Mourns Loss of 14-Year-Old Graduate to Cancer

Burgas English High School is mourning its graduate. A post appeared on the school’s Facebook page announcing the disappearance of 14-year-old Maria. The young girl was suffering from cancer. Her teachers and classmates tried to collect money for the girl’s expensive treatment, reports Plovdiv 24.

Here is what they wrote with sadness from the educational institution:

It is with great pain in our hearts that we share the sad news of the loss of AEG “Geo Milev”. On 19.04.2024, only 14 years old, eighth grader Maria Atanasova left our world. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, unconditional support from Mimi’s family, friends, teachers and classmates, unfortunately, the beautiful girl could not overcome the sad rare disease. From the sun, Maria turned into a star that shines in the sky of our memories for her kindness, purity and intelligence.

Managers, teachers and students of AEG “Geo Milev” express their sincere condolences to the relatives of Maria Atanasova for the irreparable loss.
