Hours after our publication, Hristov called our duty editor to announce that he was in Greece and that he had learned from Flagman.bg about his search.

I did not run away, as announced by the Ministry of the Interior. I left Bulgaria on Friday, around 10:30 a.m. on a long-planned business trip to Greece. I haven’t hid for a minute. I’ll be at the border in an hour or two and I’m ready to surrender. I’m even now calling the authorities,” he announced.

According to his words, on Friday, a police officer from the Fourth RU Burgas called him to call for questioning, but also explained to him that he was abroad and would return on Sunday. No one told him that it was something urgent and serious. His home was not searched, nor did he know he was wanted.

He knew Viktor Kuzmov, whom the prosecutor’s office points to as the channel’s tortfeasor. They had been friends for years, even when Kuzmov ran the “Kashmir” bar.

“The fact that I had coffee with him does not mean that I sympathize with his actions. Everyone looks after his own life, I cannot be responsible for his actions”, added Valentin Hristov.

Hristov has interests in the oil business and real estate, he is also the owner of several car dealerships in Burgas.

My business is clean, I am in the light and would never engage in such dark dealings. Anyone who knows me can confirm. I am coming to Bulgaria and will assist in the investigation,” Valentin Hristov also announced to Flagman.bg
