Buon Ma Thuot resolved the stalled project, the road turned into a river

(PLO) – The People’s Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak province resolved problems in constructing the stalled road project.

On September 30, talking to PLO, Mr. Vu Van Hung, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City (Dak Lak), said that the City is focusing on resolving problems to speed up the construction progress of the Phan Huy Chu road project. . Mr. Hung’s information came after PLO on September 28 posted the article “Project stalled, road turned into river after rain”.

According to Mr. Hung, it is currently not possible to relocate the clean water system of Dak Lak Water Supply Joint Stock Company buried under Phan Huy Chu street. This will affect the project progress.

“Since March 2023, the People’s Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City has issued a document urging Dak Lak Water Supply Joint Stock Company to relocate the pipeline and hand over the site to the investor.

The company placed the water pipeline in the wrong route according to the document directing the Provincial People’s Committee, so the business had to handle it. This is not the government’s business. We have refused to support funding for pipeline relocation” – Mr. Hung added.

The Chairman of Buon Ma Thuot City People’s Committee also stated the reason for “straightening” the route into residential areas, not going into vacant land and land managed by Lang Wood Company.

According to Mr. Hung, the general planning of Buon Ma Thuot City, including the planning of Phan Huy Chu street, was approved by the Prime Minister in 2014.

If you ask for a radiation adjustment, it will take a lot of time. This also means that it is unknown when Phan Huy Chu road will be implemented.

On the same day, Mr. Nguyen Khac Dan, General Director of Dak Lak Water Supply Joint Stock Company, said that the company is currently coordinating with the Buon Ma Thuot City Construction Investment Project Management Board to relocate the pipeline on Phan Huy Chu street. . However, Mr. Dan did not answer the reporter’s question about why this company previously dug and buried the pipeline on Phan Huy Chu street.

As PLO reflected, the Phan Huy Chu street project (the section adjacent to April 30 street to the end of Khanh Xuan ward) phase 1 started construction in February 2023. The project has a total investment of 307 billion VND, invested by the Construction Investment Project Management Board of Buon Ma Thuot City; Expected completion in August 2024.

However, after the contractor peeled off the road surface at the beginning of the route, he left unfinished for the past seven months, causing the already damaged road to look like a plowed field.

Many local people reported: every time it rains, this road turns into a fast-flowing “river”. On this road there are five schools, from preschool to high school, with thousands of students passing by every day.

Meanwhile, the leader of the Buon Ma Thuot City Land Fund Development Center confirmed that the new unit will organize a meeting of affected households in August 2023 to discuss plans for site clearance for the Phan Huy Chu road project. .

Many people believe that the project route runs straight into the homes of many families, while the opposite side is not affected.

In addition, during the implementation process, the contractor stopped construction midway because there was an underground water pipeline system under the road. While it is regulated that water pipes cannot be placed on the roadway…

At the meeting on September 11, the representative of the Dak Lak Department of Construction requested the investor and Dak Lak Water Supply Joint Stock Company to coordinate in relocating the water pipeline in the roadbed according to regulations. This is to ensure project quality and safety during management and operation.

Relevant agencies also agreed that in the immediate future, Dak Lak Water Supply Joint Stock Company must focus on relocating the pipeline section longer than 1.4 km; Completed before September 30.
