The Villages-Vovéens. A nice gesture to fight against cancer. Like last year, the Burgundy house took an active part in the Pink October operation: throughout the month of October, the Vové bakery offered small individual brioches “the sales of which were entirely donated to the League against cancer,” recalled Willy Bourgogne.
A cause to which he is particularly sensitive because several members of his close family have been affected by this disease.
Wednesday morning, the bakery presented a check for €800 to Marie-France Hubert, administrator and volunteer at the League Against Cancer. This year, donations are mainly intended to finance supportive care and well-being, aimed at alleviating the side effects of treatments.
The administrator also recalled the importance of not neglecting the various screening campaigns organized against cancers, in particular breast cancer and colorectal cancer.
