Even if family meals are “to be avoided”, celebrate Easter without chocolat is unthinkable. Gluttony and tradition at Méert
The most emblematic address of Lille is of all the festivals. For Easter, Méert has imagined delicious chocolate creations. Paschal lamb in mousseline brioche, eggs topped with chocolate bites, chicken and eggs… The house has also teamed up with the great illustrator Pierre Le-Tan to create superb colored boxes.
Finally, the confectioner has designed an Easter egg in a dessert style: crispy pecan praline, dulcey cream, cranberry and morello cherry compote, almond cookies, ganache with pecan nuts… A delight! To order, go to the Méert site.
The marine world at Quentin Bailly’s
For the world chocolate champion, Easter is an opportunity to redouble creativity. Quentin Bailly was inspired by the marine world to create his Easter 2021 collection. Hermit crab, whales, sea turtles, seahorses, submarine and appetizing shells… A real dive into the deep blue! Visit the store or order in click & collection on Quentin Bailly’s website.
The chocolatier also produced more conventional subjects, as well as a superb origami-style egg in collaboration with the rooftop Nū. Please note, this is a limited edition of 100 copies. To order, Click here.
Jurassic Easter at Le Lautrec
After the marine world, it’s time for the dinosaur era. At Le Lautrec, we celebrate Jurassic Easter with grand cru chocolate. Thanks to five chocolate bars, from dark to blond, the artisan chocolatier has created decorations featuring these giant reptiles, all accompanied by fried foods and garnished eggs.
Find this original collection directly at the boutique, 47 rue Esquermoise in Old Lille.
Chocolate frogs like in Harry Potter
They always manage to surprise us! Marine and Alexandre, the founders of the L’Impertinente tea room, are never short of ideas when it comes to cheering us up. So for Easter, they drew inspiration from the Harry Potter universe to imagine bewitching recipes. Chocolate frogs, renamed choco-garnoules, with hazelnut caramel and peanut. As well as magic chocolate wands, filled with biscuit and caramel.
As usual, the creations of L’Impertinente go like hot cakes. At the time of this writing, there is still some stock. But for how long ? To order, go to the online store.
