Bungie temporarily disables chat in Destiny 2 after actively abused exploit – Gaming – News

One does it to troll/taunt, the other does it to gain actual advantage. You can see this just as well in team sport: players often try to move mountains in the hope that someone else will be punished or you will escape your punishment. That is really nothing new under the sun and you see it literally everywhere.

So so, a lot of memories. Have I struck a chord with the cheaters and exploit abusers?

No, but your post is quite generalizing, just like this sentence, by the way. I mean, if I would edit your post a bit, you would get something like this:

Footballers who try everything and always test are, in my opinion, deeply sad and lifeless. What is actually going on in them, with a schwalbe then letting players get a red card (if they are losing)? You play football to have fun, regardless of whether you lose or win. But apparently for some it is very important to stroke their ego or something.

That one player less, can (if you’re losing for example) make the difference in strategy that ultimately makes you well wins and then becomes champion, gets promoted or whatever. Not that I want to justify things, but in a different context people often suddenly look at things differently. ;)
