Bundeswehr Combat Helicopter Regiment 36 announced night flight training in Hesse, including Tiger attack helicopters stationed in the area.

This was announced by the Bundeswehr Combat Helicopter Regiment 36 in Fritzlar in a press release. In neighboring Hesse, among other things, the Tiger attack helicopters are stationed.

The night flights served to “establish and maintain the operational readiness of our pilots, as well as to train young comrades,” the Bundeswehr describes in the press release.

An area restriction can only be made roughly. Rehearsals take place in the greater area between Gießen, Paderborn, Göttingen and Erfurt. In some cases, a low flight below 100 feet is planned, that is less than 32 meters. This could lead to increased noise pollution.

“We try to keep changing the practice area. We fly/practice for your safety and ask for your understanding.” Complaints can be addressed to a citizen hotline: 0800/8620730.
