VfL Wolfsburg loses connection with FC Bayern Munich. The Lower Saxony conceded the first defeat of the season on Saturday with the 1: 3 (1: 1) at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and are now three points behind the Munich team in the Bundesliga table.
Bayern had already presented a 3-1 win at SpVgg Greuther Fürth on Friday. Runner-up RB Leipzig made a step out of the crisis with a 6-0 (3-0) win against Hertha BSC. It was only the second win of the season in the sixth game. The Rhenish clubs Bayer Leverkusen and 1. FC Köln also play a good role. Leverkusen won 1-0 (0-0) against FSV Mainz 05, while Cologne, who were almost relegated, won 1-1 (1-1) at Europa League participants Eintracht Frankfurt. 1. Wolfsburg cannot hold the lead
Wolfsburg took the lead through international Ridle Baku (25th), but André Kramaric (45th + 2), Christoph Baumgartner (74th) and Pavel Kaderabek (81st) turned the game around. Wirtz with a historic gate
Leverkusen’s youngster Florian Wirtz scored a historic goal. The 1-0 win against Mainz made him the youngest player in league history with ten goals. Wirtz was 18 years and 139 days old on Saturday. The previous record was held by world champion Lukas Podolski, who was 18 years and 353 days old when he scored his tenth goal in 2004.
