Anna Janneke and Paul Brix solve their last case in the “Tatort” Frankfurt. “It’s so green when Frankfurt’s mountains bloom” marks the end of an era. But what can fans expect?

Frankfurt – An era is coming to an end for Anna Janneke (Margarita Broich) and Paul Brix (Wolfram Koch). Since 2015, they have been investigating in the “Tatort” Frankfurt. Now it is time for a change. The case “It’s so green when Frankfurt’s mountains bloom”, which will be broadcast on September 29, is the last for the duo. Melika Foroutan and Edin Hasanović will be seen in their roles as the new detectives from 2025.

Showdown in the last case for the investigative duo in Frankfurt “Tatort”

Before that, however, there is still a lot on offer for fans of the “Tatort” Frankfurt. The story of “It’s green so green when Frankfurt’s mountains bloom” in brief: Tristan Grünfels is a psychologist and victim counselor for the Frankfurt police. But he has problems. He has to deal with blackouts again and again. One morning he explodes, killing a police officer. But Grünfels does not turn himself in and suddenly he finds himself as a victim counselor for the relatives. His situation becomes more and more complicated as other crises arise, until the entanglements between Grünfels, Brix and Janneke ultimately culminate in a showdown.

Will the two detectives, who have shaped the “Tatort” Frankfurt for almost a decade, survive this one? It is unclear. One thing is certain: there will be no new case for either of them. The producers have brought out one more time for their final appearance.

Bundesliga icon is celebrated during filming for “Tatort” Frankfurt

Also present is a veteran from the Bundesliga: Timothy Chandler won the Europa League and the DFB Cupwore the professional jersey in almost 200 games, and was even born in the Main metropolis. Chandler is nothing less than an identification figure. This was also apparent during the filming of the new Frankfurt “Tatort” some time ago: When the footballer played there, a class from the elementary school next to the filming location spontaneously sang the Eintracht anthem. At the end he will be seen in a small guest role as a cleaner.

It is something like the last respect that Eintracht Frankfurt is paying to the long-standing investigators. Margarita Broich and Wolfram Koch are now moving on to new projects. Their successors Melika Foroutan and Edin Hasanović have big shoes to fill at the Frankfurt “Tatort”.
