Big Werner show at Leipzig canter victory against Mainz! – Schalke deep in crisis
Mainz – Leipzig 0: 5
Leipzig seems to have put away the disappointing draw against Freiburg last week. Away in Mainz, the Saxons made a dominant appearance.
It only took ten minutes before Mainz goalkeeper Florian Müller had to reach behind for the first time. Timo Werner ended his losing streak and again targeted Lewandowski and the top scorer. A little later, Poulssen and Sabitzer hit again.
Those who had hoped for a revival of Mainz after the break were bitterly disappointed. In the person of Werner. The striker ensured even clearer conditions immediately after the restart and completed the hat trick a quarter of an hour before the final whistle.

Schalke 0-3 Augsburg
It seemed as if Schalke’s 0: 4 derby clap against Dortmund was deep in the bones a week ago. The Gelsenkircheners completely missed the start against the last six games without a win for Kellerkind Augsburg. After only six minutes, Eduard Löwen gave the guests the lead with a wonderful free kick.
But even after that, little matched up in Schalke’s game. The passports did not arrive and the few degrees were hardly dangerous. So what had to come came: Shortly before the end, Sarenren-Bazee and Niederlechner pulled away and made the decision in favor of the Augsburgers. In added time, the third goal was scored for the guests.
Ruben Vargas was in the starting line-up for Augsburg. The Lucerne player received a yellow card early on and was replaced in the second half after a collision.

Cologne – Dusseldorf 2-2
Cologne prevented a home defeat in the third Sunday game thanks to two late goals. Anthony Modeste in the 88th and Jhon Cordoba in the 91st minute headed the 2-2 final goal against Fortuna Dusseldorf.
The Düsseldorfers lying on the Barrage-Platz had only supposedly accomplished the hardest after an hour when goalie Florian Kastenmeier parried a penalty and a little later Erik Thommy scored the 2-0.
