The DFL has published the Bundesliga schedule for the 2022/2023 season. Eintracht Frankfurt and defending champions Bayern Munich open the new season on Friday 5 August.
At 8:30 p.m., coach Julian Nagelsmann’s team will play Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt at Deutsche Bank Park.
The eagerly awaited first meeting with runners-up Borussia Dortmund will take place on the 9th matchday (October 7th – October 9th). Then BVB welcomes Munich in Dortmund. The second leg on the 26th matchday is between 31.3 and 2.4. terminated.

Bundesliga 1st matchday: When does the 2022 Bundesliga season start?
While the exact dates and game schedules will not be announced until June 17th, the general framework calendar for the coming season is already fixed. The Bundesliga season 2022/23 starts on August 5, 2022, in the 2nd Bundesliga the starting signal will be given three weeks earlier on July 15, 2022.
The season finale of the new season has also already been scheduled: the last games of the season will be played on May 27, 2023. The final match day in the 2nd Bundesliga will take place one day later, on May 28, 2023.

World Cup 2022: When does the Bundesliga go into the winter break?
A look at the key data for the coming Bundesliga season shows that the 2022/23 season will start a little earlier and end later than usual. The reason for this is the World Cup in Qatar, because of which the Bundesliga will take a two-month break in winter 2022. Accordingly, the last matchday of 2022 will not take place in December as usual, but from December 11th to 13th. November 2022.

The Bundesliga schedule is drawn up annually by the German Football League (DFL). While this was done manually until a few years ago, software is now used to determine the fixtures for the individual games.
