Hertha BSC – Werder Bremen

TSG 1899 Hoffenheim – 1 FC Cologne

Situation: Hoffenheim is on the upswing and can outperform Cologne in the table with a win.

Stats: Hoffenheim haven’t lost any of their last 13 games against Cologne (nine wins, four draws). The last defeat dates from 2015 (2:3 in Cologne).

Personnel: At TSG, the last ailing Vogt is expected to return. In addition, Dabbur has served his suspension. Cologne has its strongest squad available.

Special: The croatian TSG striker Kramaric has scored four goals in the past four games. Coach Matarazzo had predicted weeks ago that the World Cup striker could shoot his team to stay up.

VfL Bochum – VfL Wolfsburg

Situation: Bochum needs every point in the relegation battle. Wolfsburg in ninth place has 13 points more than VfL and still has a chance of qualifying for the European Cup.

Statistics: The two clubs have met 23 times in the Bundesliga so far. There were nine wins for Bochum and eleven for VfL.

Personnel: Bochum coach Letsch has to do without defender Schlotterbeck. At Wolfsburg, after center forward Lukas Nmecha, left-back Paulo Otavio is injured for the rest of the season.

Special: Wolfsburg’s sports director Schindzielorz worked successfully as sports director in Bochum from 2018 to 2022. His family still lives there.

Hertha BSC – Werder Bremen

Situation: After the 2:5 on Schalke and slipping to last place, Hertha brought Pal Dardai back as coach, who is now supposed to stay up in the league. Werder also had problems recently and don’t want to let the gap to the relegation zone get any smaller.

Stats: Both teams have been without a win for six games. Hertha have conceded the most header goals (eleven) in the league so far. Bremen have already scored eleven times with their head.
