Time to give everything again.

As already known from the past years, in the Bundesliga relegation the 16th of the Bundesliga meets the third of the 2nd league. It has been clear since Sunday which two teams have to go into the 2022 relegation.

Because Hertha lost a dramatic last game in Dortmund and Stuttgart won against Cologne, the Berliners have to go into relegation as 16th in the Bundesliga. That’s where coach Felix Magath’s team meets HSV.

Hamburg secured third place in the second division with a 3-2 win against Hansa Rostock. HSV coach Walter: “We really deserved the two bonus games.”

As 16th in the Bundesliga scores Hertha BSC to third place in the 2nd league, the Hamburger SV. HSV won the first leg on Thursday 1-0 with a goal from Ludovit Reis (57th). No more away goals in Bundesliga relegation

As in the Champions League and Europa League, there has been relegation since this season no away goals rule more. In Paragaf 3 of the DFL rules of play, promotion and relegation is regulated as follows: “The relegation games are played as a first and second leg in accordance with the provisions of the UEFA club competitions that apply to the playing of games in the knockout system.”

Means: If there is a tie after the first and second leg, the game goes into extra time and then possibly even a penalty shoot-out. As a result, it is no longer relevant which team previously scored more goals away from home.
