Rapid got off to a real dream start and also proved to be incredibly efficient in the first half. Arase strikes after 70 seconds
After the rotation against Arsenal, Rapid coach Didi Kühbauer was able to fall back on the majority of his team. The made a lightning start. TSV goalkeeper Rene Swete blocked a shot from Kara right in front of the legs of Arase, who only had to shoot in after 70 seconds.
Rapid then had the game under control, gave the Styrians no chance in the first half and also scored with the second dangerous advance. After a wonderful pass from Maximilian Ullmann, Kara approached Swete alone, initially failed at the goalkeeper, but made use of the rebound with his head.
Hartberg rears up with ten men
Shortly before the break, things got worse for the Hartberger. Nimaga, who received an unjustified yellow card in the 22nd minute, was excluded with a yellow-red card. With ten men, the locals fought courageously and were rewarded in the 66th minute. Thomas Rotter scored with the first Hartberger chance, but the ball had jumped to his hand.
Shortly before and after that, Rapid struggled with a Kara goal and an Arase chance with tight offside decisions, and the next tight situation rightly failed to whistle. After a defended Demir shot, Arase pushed in for the final score. For Rapid it was the first Bundesliga victory after two draws and one defeat.
