Berlin (dpa) – After the 8-0 opening gala of FC Bayern Munich against FC Schalke, there are more games in the Bundesliga today. In the evening, Borussia Dortmund welcomes Borussia from Mönchengladbach to their top game. The six heads to the six games.
Eintracht Frankfurt – Arminia Bielefeld
Fabian Klos: At the age of 32 and after 294 games in the 2nd and 3rd leagues, Arminia’s top scorer in the second division is playing in the Bundesliga for the first time. He did not become a professional until he was 24, and previously played at a low level for a long time. His secret of success: a strong team, a dosed approach to everyday joys. He listens to his body, but also “likes to eat fries, kebab or pizza”, he once revealed in an interview.
1. FC Union Berlin – FC Augsburg
Max Kruse: In slippers, the newcomer from Berlin shuffled to his yellow sports car after training. The protracted ankle injury has finally healed. A use of the ex-national player for the Köpenicker at the start against FC Augsburg at least as a joker seems possible. Then it can be shown for the first time whether the football bon vivant matches the iron.
1. FC Cologne – TSG Hoffenheim
Sebastian Hoeneß: The new coach of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim has to make a name for himself as head coach of the Bundesliga – despite his prominent origins. The 38-year-old reacts calmly to the recurring questions about his father Dieter Hoeneß and uncle Uli Hoeneß: “I don’t know anything else. I’ve seen it this way since I was little. ” The Bundesliga novice came to the Kraichgau as the third division master coach of FC Bayern Munich II.
Werder Bremen – Hertha BSC
Davie Selke: Everything should get better with the 25-year-old Werder striker. After proper preparation, Selke should play against Hertha again on Saturday. So far, his second Werder engagement has been a disaster. The Hertha loan has remained without a goal since his return to the Weser in winter. Should the Hanseatic League again hold the class, there is a purchase obligation in the double-digit millions.
VfB Stuttgart – SC Freiburg (every 3:30 p.m. / Sky)
Pellegrino Matarazzo: The coach of VfB Stuttgart is about to make his Bundesliga debut. Although the former mathematics student led VfB to rise, he is likely to be a stranger to many fans outside of Swabia. The 42-year-old American does his job calmly, objectively and analytically. It remains to be seen whether that will be enough to work longer at VfB than many of its predecessors. Remaining in class is the clear goal.
Borussia Dortmund – Borussia Mönchengladbach (6.30 p.m. / Sky)
Jude Bellingham: The newest BVB young star from the island is only 17 years old. Against Gladbach at the beginning of the top game, the jewel should already be in the starting line-up. Even Gladbach coach Marco Rose has the greatest respect for the top talent: “A really, really strong player.” The youngster already scored a goal in Duisburg in the cup at the debut. Together with the other “Bubis” Jadon Sancho (20) and Erling Haaland (20), the new Dortmund offensive series could provide a mighty spectacle.
