The former national player calls the game a “banger start” – but assumes that the path for FC Bayern “can only mean becoming German champion”. He assesses Bayern’s signing of Yann Sommer as a replacement for the injured Manuel Neuer as follows: “You tried to compensate with Yann Sommer, you can argue about that. With a view to the relegation battle, the SPORTBUZZER columnist only partially fixed. “I think Schalke will be relegated for sure,” says Rummenigge, who also regrets that in that case there would be no more derbies against his former club Dortmund for the time being. The former midfielder attests the new Stuttgart coach Bruno Labbadia “a golden touch” in the fight to stay in the class.
