One person was wide awake in the Bundesliga late in the afternoon: Mönchengladbach’s Robin Hack shone with a quick brace in the game against Stuttgart. The game hadn’t even really started when Hack scored for the first time. The 25-year-old scored after 20 seconds from a half-right position. Almost 20 minutes later, Hack doubled the score to make it 2-0. They were his first Bundesliga goals for Borussia.
VfB, who had to do without goalgetter Serhou Guirassy, who was in action at the Africa Cup, only managed to score a goal through Josha Vagnoman (55th). Ex-YB player Jordan Siebatcheu was worried about the final point in added time.
In the other game on Sunday, Bochum and Werder Bremen drew 1-1. Patrick Osterhage gave Bochum the lead with a long-range shot (64′). Werder only managed to equalize in the 3rd minute of stoppage time through Niklas Stark. With 17 points each, both teams are 6 points ahead of the relegation place.
