Selected games from the Austrian Bundesliga can again be seen live on public television in the coming season. In the future, ORF will broadcast four co-exclusive live games per season. The ORF has agreed on this with the rights holder Sky.
In addition, Sky and ORF agreed to extend highlight reporting until 2026. Sky will continue to show all 195 games in the men’s Bundesliga both as individual games and in conference broadcasts.
ORF and Sky agree on Bundesliga broadcast
Neal O’Rourke, Managing Director of Sky Austria, described the ORF in a broadcast as a “strategic partner” with whom we like to work a lot. “We are therefore pleased that we will continue to cooperate successfully in the sporting field,” said O’Rourke. “For the ORF, reporting on the domestic Bundesliga is an essential part of all ORF media,” stated ORF General Director Roland Weißmann. The agreement with Sky on the cooperation in the coming years is all the more gratifying.
What games will be featured?
It has not yet been decided which four games from the Admiral Bundesliga will be broadcast live on ORF. The game selection is only made in coordination with Sky. The highlight summary of all games should continue to appear promptly after the end of the game in ORF 1.
