Munich – Bayern Munich’s world footballer Robert Lewandowski does not yet have Gerd Müller’s record of 365 goals in the Bundesliga in mind.

“I have not yet thought about the 365 goals by Gerd Müller. This record is so far away and not in my head yet,” Lewandowski told the specialist magazine “Kicker”.

At the end of the season against FC Augsburg, the Bayern striker had exceeded Müller’s record from the 1971/72 season by one goal with his 41st goal. Lewandowski has a total of 277 Bundesliga goals. He could surpass the Müller mark in three seasons.

Lewandowski also remembers the beginnings of his Bundesliga career when he moved to Borussia Dortmund in 2010. “The first ten months in Germany were difficult – to live here and to get used to. I had to do a lot of things by myself, which took a lot of energy,” said the Pole, adding: “The then 21-year-old boy and the soon-to-be 33-year-old boy – it’s a completely different world. “
