Awoniyi proved his nose for goal early on after the presentation of new signing Tymoteusz Puchacz. Puchasz failed with a deflected shot from distance (16th). Kruse then increased after Awoniyi preparatory work, shortly afterwards Awoniyi followed up after Kruse-Assist.
The second round turned out to be quieter. Kuopion booked his best chances late when Andreas Luthe parried strongly against Lucas Rangel (89th) and Henri Toivomäki failed on the crossbar (90th). The substitute Voglsammer finally increased again after the pass of Teuchert, who had also come.
