Munich (SID) – President Herbert Hainer of Bayern Munich drew a positive conclusion after the season that was successful for the entire club. “After the six historic titles last year, this is an overall achievement that everyone who contributed to it can be proud of,” he is quoted on the club’s website.
In the past season, men and women had won the championship in football, and after winning the cup, the basketball players are still in the final for the title against Alba Berlin. “FC Bayern can once again be really very satisfied with this season,” said Hainer.
In basketball, the goal of “becoming one of the best addresses in Europe is challenging but realistic,” said the president. The success of women is also important to him. “Women’s football is gaining more and more importance internationally. Today, it is essential for a top club to meet the highest demands in the women’s field as well.”
At the beginning of the new Bundesliga season, Hainer is expecting spectators again in the stadiums: He is assuming that the clubs “will be approved for partial capacity utilization and will gradually be able to hope for full capacity utilization again as soon as possible”.
