Summer and Zakaria are at fault for the slapstick goal – Haaland scores twice in BVB victory
Bayern Munich and Dortmund came to secure wins in the 29th round of the Bundesliga. Munich won 3: 1 against Mainz, Dortmund defeated Union Berlin 5: 0. Central Switzerland’s Ruben Vargas has now scored his fourth goal of the season.
Dortmund – Union Berlin 5-0
Dortmund never lost their drive to Union Berlin and brought Lucien Favre a clear success in the Swiss coaching duel against Urs Fischer. The focus was on two teenagers: the Norwegian Erling Haaland and the English Jadon Sancho. The striker, taken over from Salzburg, scored his goals six and seven in his third assignment for Dortmund, the first from the start. He has scored every 20 minutes in his new club’s jersey so far. In the 68th minute he also took out the penalty, which Marco Reus converted to 3: 0.
Jadon Sancho opened the Dortmund shooting club in the 13th minute. At 4: 0 by Axel Witsel in the 70th minute, the London native was involved with an assist. Mainz 1-3 Bayern
Bayern Munich ensured clear conditions in Mainz within half an hour. Robert Lewandowski headed a cross from Benjamin Pavard in the 8th minute. Poland’s 22nd goal of the season was followed by goals from Thomas Müller and Thiago Alcantara. The Spaniard scored after a nice solo through the previously overwhelmed Mainz defense.
The fact that Mainz was able to prevent a loss of similar magnitude to the champions as in the first half (1: 6) was due to the increase in performance after the 0: 3. The Dutchman Jerry St.Juste scored the goal before the break. After the change of sides, the hosts controlled Bayern’s attack efforts without major problems. They seemed to have their heads on for the next tasks, not least the one against Sunday in a week against Leipzig.

Leipzig 2-2 Gladbach
Borussia Mönchengladbach negligently gives a 2-0 lead in the top game in Leipzig. First, the two Swiss internationals Yann Sommer and Denis Zakaria with a slapstick insert ensure the connection goal by Patrik Schick. A good ten minutes after the 1-2, Pléa made sure that his teammates were outnumbered in the final phase. The Frenchman saw twice yellow in two seconds for double complaint.

Another Swiss, Ruben Vargas, made a decisive appearance on Saturday afternoon. The 21-year-old scored the Augsburg win 2-1 against Werder Bremen. With a deliberate Schlenzer, he scored his fourth Bundesliga goal in the 82nd minute, the first since early September. The Augsburg coached by Martin Schmidt, who were 0-1 behind Bremen, were able to break away from the relegation zone after three defeats in a row.
