Sure thing in the Allianz Arena?
For the fans of the two clubs, the match between Bayern Munich and VfL Bochum is a meeting of friends. But the fraternization between Fiege-Pils and Weissbier (or Münchner Hell) has to rest for 90 minutes, because games against friends are also about three important points. The Munich team (ten points) want to win and displace the front-runner VfL Wolfsburg (twelve points) – at least overnight – from their place in the sun. The Bochumers, on the other hand, want to establish themselves in midfield and stay away from the relegation ranks as much as possible.
Of course, FCB is a huge favorite in the Allianz Arena at home: the record champions are in impressive form early on in the season and have six wins and one draw in seven competitive games under Julian Nagelsmann – with a goal difference of 31: 5. With the Bochumers, however, things are not going so smoothly. The first four Bundesliga games of the 2021/22 season saw only one win and three defeats. The Ruhrpottklub is in 13th place with three points. A look at the direct comparison should not cause any cheers either: VfL lost 45 of 68 Bundesliga games against Bayern Munich, 15 duels ended without a winner, and Bochum won eight times.
