Bundesliga soccer club FC Augsburg has finalized its winter schedule and announced the dates of its training camp in Spain. Coach Enrico Maaßen has scheduled his first on-pitch training session for Monday 5 December after his professionals took a rest break. Internal performance tests take place the previous weekend. The first training block ends just before Christmas on December 20th.

Two friendlies are scheduled for this approximately two-week phase: On Saturday 10 December, the Swiss record champion Grasshopper Club Zurich will visit Augsburg. On Friday, December 16, FCA meets second division club 1. FC Heidenheim. FC Augsburg announced this on Thursday evening.

From 3 January Augsburg will prepare for the opening game of the new year at Borussia Dortmund on 22 January. One day after the start of training, the training camp will go to Algorfa in Alicante, where the FCA moved into winter quarters in 2019. There the Augsburg team will prepare for the remaining 19 Bundesliga matches from 4 to 12 January. The Swabians spend the winter in 14th place in the standings.
