With 588 goals (average 3.06) in the 192 games, 55 fewer were scored in this Bundesliga season than in 2019/20 (643 / 3.35). In 2018/19, in the first season of the twelve-league, with points sharing after 22 rounds, it was 558 (average 2.91).
Torfabrik was master Salzburg with 94 direct hits. The “Red Bulls” celebrated their highest victories with a 7-1 home win against Hartberg (October 4th) and an 8-2 win in St. Pölten (November 28th). Only once – in the 0: 1 in Südstadt against Admira on December 5th – they didn’t score a goal.
The top scorer
After Israeli Shon Weissman, who scored 30 times for the WAC in 2019/20, this time Patson Daka is back to Salzburg.
With 27 goals, the Zambian won the shooting title ahead of the Dane Nikolai Baden Frederiksen (WSG Tirol), who scored 18 times, and the Serbian Dejan Joveljic (WAC / 17 goals). A total of 16 different Salzburgers entered the shooter list, Mergim Berisha and Sekou Koita were also successful 14 times before his doping ban.
The repeat offenders
