Young players from the Uruguayan league have a difficult time with Bundesliga clubs. The doubts that the talents can get used to life in Germany and the physical style of play are too great. Complicated consulting situations and due relievers do the rest.

So until now, a certain Zé Roberto was the first and only player to move from Uruguay to Germany in 2009 – more precisely from Club Nacional to Hamburger SV. The second player could one day be called Enzo Larrosa. The 19-year-old attacking player has been a professional for the first division side Boston River since January, is considered a great talent and is physically well positioned at 1.85 meters.
Very first steps
Larrosa scored once on the past two match days – his first professional goals and a one-two punch that caught the attention of two Bundesliga clubs. To FT-Information, SV Werder Bremen and Bayer Leverkusen have obtained information about the 19-year-old.
The duo’s interest is not (yet) concrete. Especially with comparatively unknown talents from South America, it is customary to ask about the general situation of the player before further steps are even considered. Who is the advisor? Are there any clauses? Is the club ready for sale? Does the player even want to leave his home country?
So there are still a few hurdles to overcome before a transfer to Germany becomes an issue. But one thing is clear: if Larossa can confirm the form of the past two game days, he will make himself even more interesting for the Bundesliga clubs. And maybe even a club will then be ready to overlook the doubts.
