Bundesliga Conference Recap: Emotional Moments, Game Highlights, and Standings Update

Once again Bundesliga until the international break!

Saturday’s conference was tough – Bayern struggled, Stuttgart deservedly beat BVB.

The emotional highlight: Darmstadt coach Torsten Lieberknecht (50) addresses the fans directly before the game – he is at home, looking after his wife.

The four games – here at a glance.

Darmstadt – Mainz 0-0

Emotional words!

Mainz is competing for the second time with interim boss Jan Siewert (41), Darmstadt with assistant coach Ovid Hajou (40). Torsten Lieberknecht sees his lilies at home in Düsseldorf, while his wife Simone is recovering there after a stroke during the week.

Before the game there is a personal message from Lieberknecht – directly to the fans!

Lieberknecht via social media: “Hello, Lilies. I wish you and us fun, maximum strength and energy for today’s Rhine-Main duel. And the desire and power to express all of our abilities as a unit ON and OFF the pitch. My thoughts are with you!”

It doesn’t help the game – neither goalkeeper has to save a shot on goal for 88 minutes. Means: 0:0.

This is rare. Lilien striker Hornby checks the hundredweight – and makes the very first save of the game (88th)

In an intense derby, both teams give each other nothing at the official start of the carnival, there are just no chances.

Augsburg – Hoffenheim 1:1

Next Thorup comeback!

In FCA coach Jess Thorup’s (53) fourth game, Augsburg comes back for the fourth time and gets a point after being behind – 1-1.

But the game briefly becomes a minor matter.

Because: The game ends in the 58th minute interrupted, a firecracker apparently explodes in the Hoffenheim guest block near a supporter, who is injured and then has to be treated.

After about seven minutes, Brych finally whistles to restart the game. Before doing so, he had the Augsburg stadium announcer announce that the game would be canceled if there was another incident.

The Weghorst weeks continue in terms of sport.

Summer newcomer Wout Weghorst (31) scores in the third game in a row (against Stuttgart and Leverkusen), makes it 1-0 with a header (23rd) – and has apparently really arrived.

Dream solo to compensate!

Ermedin Demirovic (25) takes on everyone. The striker first dribbles past Kabak and Bebou before hitting the ball into the far corner from the edge of the penalty area. Lucky: Kevin Vogt deflects easily, so there is nothing to hold on to. Equalizer, came back again, next Thorup point.
