The guests dominated the match from the opening whistle. Less than nine minutes after kick-off Kingsley Coman From 20 meters, he curled the ball wonderfully into the long bottom, with which he took the lead. Bayern did not slow down, doubling their lead just five minutes later, again Coman was successful, this time from inside the penalty area. Wolfsburg could not catch their breath for a single minute, because in the 19th minute, the people of Munich were happy for the third time: Joshua Kimmich from a free kick, he arched the ball into the middle, which the team captain, Thomas Müller headed for the gate.

Despite the terrible start, the home team did not give up and managed to improve before the end of the half. After a brilliant pass in the 44th minute Jakub Kaminski was in a position and took advantage of the opportunity, changing the score to 1-3.

Although the “wolves” continued to besiege Bayern’s goal in the second half (as a result of Kimmich’s sending off, they now had a man advantage from the 54th minute), the guests scored another goal Jamal Musiala through a wonderful solo finish in the 73rd minute. In the 81st minute, Wolfsburg again reduced the goal difference to two Matthias Svanberg with his hit, and then he also scored an unconferred goal – 2–4 was the end result.
