The favorites win. Bayern at Hertha, Dortmund at home against Bochum. Leipzig and Frankfurt also have reason to celebrate in the league after moving into the Champions League.

With a win in what was sometimes a wild match at the Berlin Olympic Stadium, FC Bayern took the lead in the Bundesliga for the time being. The reigning champion and record champion won 3: 2 (3: 2) at Hertha BSC in the comeback of national goalkeeper Manuel Neuer. With 28 points, Bayern are now two points clear of 1. FC Union Berlin (26), who can improve again on Sunday at Bayer Leverkusen.

Borussia Dortmund moved up to third place thanks to a 3-0 (3-0) victory over VfL Bochum in Revierderby. RB Leipzig beat TSG 1899 Hoffenheim 3-1 (1-0) on Saturday and Eintracht Frankfurt won 2-1 (1-1) at FC Augsburg. VfL Wolfsburg took another away win with a 3-0 (1-0) at 1. FSV Mainz 05.

Show at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin

There was a stage show at the Berlin Olympic Stadium! The Munich side were leading 3-0 after Jamal Musiala’s first goal in the twelfth minute. In less than 90 seconds, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting struck twice (37th and 39th). But on the other hand Dodi Lukebakio (40th) scored the connecting goal. Shortly before half-time, after video rehearsals, the referee also decided on a penalty kick, which Davie Selke safely converted into Berlin’s second goal. Two goals conceded in the first half: this is not how the national team goalkeeper Manuel Neuer imagined his comeback after seven games. After the break, there was no goal.

The district derby was decided immediately in Dortmund. At 17 years and 350 days, Youssoufa Moukoko scored the eighth minute lead and his tenth Bundesliga goal. He is now the youngest player to score so many goals, replacing Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz, who was 18 years and 145 days old when he scored his tenth goal. After Giovanni Reyna (12 ‘) scored 2-0 with a penalty, teenager Moukoko scored his eleventh goal (45’ + 2 ‘).

Eintracht behind after less than a minute in Augusta

Everything was ready for the return of captain Marco Reus in the second half. The 33-year-old suffered an ankle ligament injury in mid-September and suffered a setback a month later after a brief comeback. Edin Terzic inserts the coach in the 67th minute.

Fans of the Champions League knockout rounds just crowned by Frankfurt, accustomed to success, suffered a slowdown in mood: after less than a minute, Eintracht was 0-1 behind in Augsburg. Mergim Berisha scored for FCA. Eintracht captain Sebastian Rode equalized in the 13th minute before Ansgar Knauff scored 2-1 in the second half (64th).

Leipzig without Timo Werner

Timo Werner’s injury and imminent farewell to CEO Oliver Mintzlaff did not put RB Leipzig professionals out of the game. In Hoffenheim, Christopher Nkunku took the lead in the 17th minute with a goal to see. Double bitterness for the hosts: World Cup candidate Grischa Prömel had to leave early, obviously seriously injured his ankle. However: Georginio Rutter equalized for Hoffenheim in the 50th minute. It didn’t last: Nkunku (57th) and Dani Olmo (69th) secured Leipzig’s first away league win in eight games.

In Mainz, the 1. FSV actually determined the events. The goal was scored by the guests of Wolfsburg. Patrick Wimmer took the lead in the 33rd minute. Maximilian Arnold (70th) lifted the ball against the slowing Mainz side with a fluttering ball. Ridle Baku (84th) set the final point, but as a former Mainzer he held back with cheering. Due to the victory, Lower Saxony came within one point of Rheinhessen in the standings.
