From Constance to Sylt, from Aachen to Görlitz: the Bundesbank is visiting 90 towns and communities in Germany with an exhibition truck from April to the end of October. The hands-on exhibition was opened on April 7th by board member Burkhard Balz and the Hessian Finance Minister Michael Boddenberg. “We want to talk to local people, answer their questions about the euro and take up their suggestions

Participation exhibition to discover and experience
There is an interactive exhibition in the two-story truck that conveys basic knowledge about the euro, monetary policy, financial stability and banking supervision, cash and cashless payment transactions in an easy-to-understand manner. “The exhibition ties in with our popular money museum in Frankfurt am Main. With pictures, texts, videos and games, it offers visitors an entertaining introduction to the tasks of the Bundesbank,” says Balz.
On the upper floor of the truck, employees of the Bundesbank’s head offices and branches offer further information talks, counterfeit money training and lectures. The wide range of study, training and career opportunities offered by the German Central Bank will also be presented.
Visiting the Bundesbank truck is free. A comprehensive hygiene concept makes it possible to visit the roadshow safely even during the corona pandemic.
