BUMN Minister Erick Thohir overhauled the composition of PLN’s directors and commissioners. In the reshuffle, former BI Governor Agus Martowardojo became main commissioner. (CNN Indonesia/Andry Novelino).

Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir reshuffle the composition of directors and commissioners of PT PLN (Persero).
This was done through the General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) which was held this Wednesday (20/9).
During the meeting, Erick appointed Agus Martowarjojo as main commissioner. Agus replaces Amien Sunaryadi.
Agus Martowarjojo himself previously served as main commissioner of PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI. Erick just dismissed Agus from his position last Tuesday (19/9).
Furthermore, Erick also appointed Arcandra Tahar as independent commissioner. Arcandra replaces Alex Iskandar Munaf.
On the board of directors, Erick appointed Suroso Isnandar as director of risk management. Previously, Suroso Isnandar held the position of head of PLN’s digital and information technology unit.
Erick, who was represented by the Deputy for Human Resources, Technology and Information at the Ministry of BUMN, Tedi Bharata, said that the change in the composition of commissioners and directors was carried out to improve the company’s performance, especially in carrying out the energy transition.
“PLN is the heart of Indonesia. PLN has a vital role in the energy transition, for this reason we want to continue and strengthen the transformation so that PLN can be more agile in carrying out the energy transition,” said Tedi in an official statement.
Tedi also expressed his appreciation for the dedication given by Amien Sunaryadi as main commissioner.
According to Tedi, Amien during his time as chief commissioner has been able to provide a lot of strategic input to PLN’s board of directors. He assessed that Amien’s contribution had made PLN’s transformation run well with increasingly solid financial conditions.
“In the future, with the presence of Mr. Agus, we at the Ministry of BUMN hope to be able to monitor performance so that it continues to grow and is able to answer future challenges,” continued Tedi.
With the above changes, the composition of PLN’s board of directors and commissioners will be as follows:
