Bum-gye Park, omission of property report of 6000 pyeong…靑 Personnel verification hole?

Bum-gye Park “The assistant staff is missing-the person is not known”

-It was belatedly revealed that the candidate Park Bum-gye did not properly report the land during the process of reporting property for public officials. The land is located in Yakmok-ri, Shenzhen-myeon, Yeongdong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do, with a forest field of 42,476 square meters (12,848 square meters), and candidate Park owns half of the land (22,238 square meters, 6424 square meters).

Candidate Park said, “I would like to inform you of the candidate’s position on the media report related to the report of the candidate’s equity in the forest,” distributed by the personnel hearing preparation group on the 4th. It was omitted in the process.” He added, “In the process of verifying property relations for the personnel verification of candidates for the minister, we have realized that property registration has been omitted.

Candidate Park emphasized, “However, when the candidate made a personal property report at the time of appointment as Secretary of Civil Affairs 2 of the Blue House in 2003, it was included in the property list, and there is no reason to deliberately omit the report at the current publicly announced land price of 2,091 million won.”

Candidate Park also said, “The forest is a mountain with oxygen from our ancestors, and there are several oxygens in Mr. Park’s family, and since the age of seven, a half stake has been acquired. After saying that it was due to the blame,” he explained, “I consider it to be my own irrespective of the circumstances.” Omission of a public official’s property report may result in deprivation of a member of the lawmaker if a crime is committed. However, candidate Park’s omission of property reporting has passed the six-month statute of prosecution of the election law, and the real estate industry generally agrees with this explanation. This is because ownership of the so-called jongjung land used as a son or daughter is not a right to buy and sell at will, but rather the nature of the right to manage the land. In general, the transaction of the land is made after approval of the whole family meeting.

In addition, considering the fact that the ‘2020 Standard Land Announcement Realization Rate’ announced in February last year was 65.5%, the actual transaction price of the forest field is estimated to be around 39.2 million won. However, the rate of realization of the publicly announced land price is the national average, which may vary from region to region, and some argue that the current market price of forest fields in Yakmok-ri is 3 to 5 times higher than the publicly announced land price.

However, despite Park’s clarification, considerable impact is expected in politics, centered on the opposition party. This is because the fact that the omission of the property report was not properly confirmed during the personnel verification process, or the Blue House has no choice but to be interpreted as forcing the appointment of candidate Park even though the problem was confirmed.

In addition, it is pointed out that it is difficult to rule out intentionality because of the fact that the report was omitted for eight years after becoming a member of the National Assembly in 2012 when he served as a secretary to the Blue House.

Rep. Yoo Sang-beom, a member of the National Assembly’s Legislative and Judiciary Committee, said, “It is deliberate in that the forest field where property registration has already been made has been continuously omitted from the report. Considering that he is receiving, Park also has serious moral flaws.”
