This is the plot of the ZDF crime thriller “Breisgau – Bullenstall”
Tanja Wilken is motivated: She is starting a new position on the Freiburg homicide squad. An exciting job in a new environment. Tanja wants to go straight to the task with full zest for action – but encounters a situation on site that initially leaves her a little perplexed. It feels like all new colleagues are related to one another in some way or by marriage. Almost everyone has a connection to the other. The whole team structure is accordingly matted.
For Tanja this is mainly a challenge because she has been traveling as a loner up to now and has liked to proceed in a very straightforward and principled manner. But she quickly realizes that the family atmosphere also has its charm. The exuberant birthday party of district manager Dorothea Danzeisen finally breaks the ice. She has a casual exchange with the sketch artist Doreen Danzeisen, forensic doctor Dominik Danzeisen and police chief David Danzeisen.
The closeness to the Danzeisens in particular quickly turned out to be a problem: the journalist Silke Bär had her family in her sights, researching corruption and nepotism. When one day Bär is found dead, the new colleague has to decide: will she get involved in the investigation? Is she investigating whether her supervisor and family members have anything to do with the murder? Tanja opts for it – and is quickly confronted with considerable abysses.
