“Yesterday we went to the international markets to raise the debt pledged in the Budget. The issue was successful, there was almost three times more supply for our issue than we wanted to raise in the market”. This was stated by Finance Minister Asen Vassilev. He attended the “Digital trends” forum.
“We were able to raise the seven-year debt at a premium of 150 basis points, which is 1.5% above the standard, which is much cheaper than the last issue that Bulgaria did. There the premium was over 2.5% higher”, Vassilev also said. The Minister of Finance emphasized that the debt will be used for the Budget in its large part for refinancing.
“Now we have taken a little over 2 billion euros”Vassilev explained.
Vassilev also commented on the accusations that during the local vote PP worked together with BSP and “Vazrazhdane” against GERB, on the grounds that in Sofia they were their main opponent.
“This is election talk in the market. I hope the market is over”added Asen Vassilev.
