Bulgarians can enter Greece around the clock through two points – Society – Bulgaria – NOVA News

Greek authorities have decided to open the Kapitan Petko Voyvoda-Ormenion border checkpoint for passenger transport, the foreign ministry said.

The border checkpoint will be open 24 hours a day. The same applies to the Kulata-Promahon border checkpoint, which has so far not allowed passengers in the time range between 23:00 and 7:00.

According to the Bulgarian Embassy in Athens and the Consulate General in Thessaloniki, when planning a trip to Greece, citizens should take into account the traffic ban in the country, which is currently in the range from 00:30 to 5:00. As of today, the Makaza-Nympheya border checkpoint is open only for light trucks up to 3.5 tons.

Also, Bulgarian citizens who have suffered from COVID-19 can enter Greece with a certificate of acquired antibodies as a result of a previous coronavirus infection – provided that at least two months have passed since the end of the disease and no more than nine months after it.

The document must be issued in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish or Russian by an authorized health authority or a certified laboratory.

The possibilities for entering the country upon presentation of a negative PCR test, performed not earlier than 72 hours, as well as a vaccination certificate for coronavirus COVID-19 in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish or Russian, certifying that at least 14 days have elapsed since the completion of the vaccination. The certificate must include the names of the vaccinated person, as well as the type and number of doses of the vaccine.

Children under the age of 5, as well as drivers of heavy vehicles, are exempt from these requirements for entry into Greece.
