Most Bulgarians are victims of robberies at the moment in the regions of Halkidiki, Asprovalta and Nea Peramos, writes “Telegraph”, referring to information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The robberies are carried out by “local citizens or touring criminal groups from Bulgaria and Albania”, explained the Directorate of “Strategic Communications and Public Diplomacy” at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In its investigation a few days ago, the media revealed the groups and their agents who steal from our southern neighbor. The criminal records of the bandits were also shown, as well as where and how they are currently attacking.
Bulgarians already regularly report on Facebook groups about travel in Greece about frequent thefts from cars and houses.

“In recent weeks, the Consulate General of Bulgaria in Thessaloniki has registered a significant increase in applications for the issuance of temporary passports by Bulgarian citizens. Their personal documents, belongings and money were stolen from their cars while they were vacationing on the beach. There are also cases of stolen private cars”, added the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The raids
There are still no official reports filed in the Consulate General in Thessaloniki about robberies of houses and apartments of Bulgarians in Northern Greece. However, the department revealed that “during conversations with Greek police officers, it was indicated that there is indeed an increase in thefts from cars left unattended”.
The Soviets
In order to prevent such crimes, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that Bulgarian citizens vacationing in Greece do not leave bags with personal documents and other belongings in their cars in beach areas and in populated areas, as they attract the attention of criminals.
