Bulgarians are infected and isolated with K-19 in the Maldives, externally with an emergency warning

In connection with signals for infected and quarantined in the Maldives, our compatriots recommend Bulgarian citizens not to travel to the Maldives unless absolutely necessary, according to the Foreign Ministry.

They point out that if the trip is still urgent, they recommend citizens to take out insurance to cover quarantine and treatment in case of COVID-19, as well as to have sufficient funds to cover the cost of accommodation, food and airfare, in case of their quarantine.

It is also necessary to get acquainted with the health protocols for prevention from COVID-19, published HERE.

Externally also recommends that Bulgarian citizens follow the messages on the website of the Ministry of Health of the Maldives HERE.

In case of a positive test on arrival, during the stay or when it is established that they have been in contact with a person infected with COVID-19, Bulgarian citizens should comply with the orders of the local health authorities for quarantine.

The direct lines of contact with the Health Protection Agency of the Maldives are HPA call center: 1676, HPA direct line: 301-4494

More information on travel restrictions to the Maldives is published on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HERE.
