Boryana Batanova was in Kiev when the war broke out and then went through hardships to finally reach Bulgaria.
“I was in the center of Kiev when the state of emergency was declared. I had dinner with friends. “There was a representative of the Armenian embassy with us and he was the first to receive the news of the state of emergency,” Boryana told NOVA.
“There is a war in Ukraine. Destruction. There are victims. Hiding people. The food is running out. There is no access to drinking water in most places. There really is a war. It’s very scary. “I saw panic when they declared a state of emergency,” she said.
