Traditionally, in the second half of August comes the discount season on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, and this is the most suitable time for native tourists who are on a limited budget.
According to hoteliers, during this part of the season, last minute reservations are most typical. A large number of tourists bet on this for a cheaper sea, bTV reported.
From the second half of August, prices in large hotels on the Southern Black Sea coast are up to 30% lower.
The second wave of discounts is from September 15 to October 10. Then prices drop by more than 50%, reported the Institute for Analyzes and Evaluations in Tourism.
The season of discounts in our largest resort complex “Sunny Beach” has already begun. For a few days now, most hotels have been offering lower overnight prices compared to July and early August.
“Special offers are also starting to be offered, which can be, for example, five days, you rest six or seven days equals nine. There are special offers with included umbrellas, deckchairs as added value to the packages that are offered”, Delyana Tsoneva, chairman of the regional tourist chamber in Burgas.
From mid-August, prices in hotels on the Southern Black Sea coast drop by up to 30%. And the distribution of tourists by country is preserved – the most from England, Poland and Romania. An increase in both Bulgarian tourists and vacationers from other countries is also noticeable.
“There are still families with children who use the last time before the school year to take the children to the sea, as the weather at the moment is unique. As new markets, there is still a timid trend towards a great interest shown by tourists from Saudi Arabia as well as from France,” added Delyana Tsoneva.
And from mid-September to October 10, prices in hotels along the Southern Black Sea coast are expected to drop between 50% and 60%. The active charter season at Burgas Airport will end on October 10.
