There are prosecutors in Bulgaria who are members of Russophile groups and celebrate Stalin’s birthday. He announced this in an interview for New TV investigative journalist Hristo Grozev and promised that there would be revelations very soon.
“There are staunch fanatics of the Putin regime, even in the prosecution system. This is an investigation that we will soon launch. We are talking about prosecutors investigating crimes related to the Russian Federation in Bulgaria. They are members of Russophile groups and celebrate Stalin’s birthday. More – very soon,” stated Grozev in plain text.
He spoke about the prosecutors after announcing that today’s edition of Spiegel, for which he works, is carrying an extensive report on the man who recruited our compatriots on the Island, who were arrested on charges of espionage.
year-old Bulgarian Tihomir Ivanchev, who was charged by Britain with conspiring to commit espionage for Russia, was an active competitive swimmer in Bulgaria about 15 years ago.
“The Bulgarians detained in Great Britain and accused of espionage had a very broad task. They dealt with a lot of people who are enemies of Putin,” said Grozev.
He announced that the man who paid the detainees was Austrian businessman Jan Marsalek. “This is the second-ranking person in a German company, which turned out to be a pyramid,” revealed the journalist. Marsalek was discovered by Grozev in Russia in 2020. He employed many people – freelance spies whom he supervised.
“I expect the names of more Bulgarians to come out because of Marsalek’s contacts in Bulgaria, which unfortunately are also at the institutional level”, emphasized the journalist, and immediately afterwards he also spoke about the prosecutors.
