Bulgarian Political Leader Boyko Borisov Condemns Vandalism of European Commission’s Representation Building

He called on the democratic parties to stand “united in the name of the national interests of Bulgaria”

“I categorically condemn the attack against the building of the European Commission’s representation in Sofia. It is extremely worrying that this act of vandalism comes at a time of severe challenges for Bulgaria. Today, our and the international public are watching with anticipation the resolution of the severe political crisis in which our country is found for two years”. This is what GERB leader Boyko Borisov wrote on his Facebook profile.

“It is the responsibility of the political parties, especially those who flaunt their patriotic sentiments the most, to ensure the security, stability and integrity of the state, instead of encouraging new divisions and scandals. In this regard, I once again call upon the democratic systemic parties to stand united in the name of Bulgaria’s national interests, projecting a strong regular government. Only guarantees for deepening the processes of our Euro-Atlantic integration can be a counterpoint to the hybrid attempts to infiltrate hostile Russian influence into our society,” Borisov also wrote.
