This summer’s Olympic Games will be held in Paris. However, such a global event requires serious security measures. Safety there will be taken care of by both French police officers and uniformed officers from all countries of the European Union, including Bulgaria. Among these police officers are also Varna employees of the Ministry of the Interior, Nova TV reported.
The two in uniform are specially trained and it is no coincidence that they were chosen to oversee the security of the Olympic Games in Paris, as they have vast experience and have proven over the years that they are among the best.
Ivaylo Stoychev is a police officer with nearly 20 years of experience in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. With him is his “colleague” – the specially trained Belgian shepherd Oscar. These two are among those chosen by the Bulgarian side to monitor the security of the Olympic Games in Paris.
“I’m leaving, somewhat proud that I was chosen from these 5 people who will participate in the security of such a large forum. But at the same time, I do not underestimate the seriousness of the work. There are participants, colleagues from many countries, who I assume will also be with service animals and precisely related to protection from terrorist acts,” Stoychev said.
The leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs did not choose this team by chance. “I have participated in absolutely all events related to working with service dogs – from mass riots, football matches, detection of murders, rapes and security and prevention for delegations of high-level guests,” says Stoichev.
