An ethnic Bulgarian died in a Russian attack in the Tarnovka district of the city of Nikolaev in southern Ukraine.
This was announced by the Bulgarian from Ternovo living there, Tule Volchev, to BG VOICE.
In the last few days, Russian troops have been bombing the Bulgarian residential district and there are already casualties. Nikolaev is a strategically located city – between Kherson, which is already under Russian control, and Odessa.
Our compatriots there say that from March 7, ie. for the past three nights, powerful Russian Tornado missiles and tank volleys have come under heavy fire.
Tule Volchev is one of the residents of the Bulgarian quarter of Nikolaev – Tarnovka. He never imagined that he would survive a war. But shelling in recent days has forced him to evacuate his wife and children to Bulgaria.
“A house full of children, three children and a mother, a brother-in-law, a woman, everyone. We were behind two walls. However, from the shock wave of the explosion, we all fell. They fired Tornadoes, large cruise missiles. And so about 6 explosions, terrible, from which the windows were broken, the doors flew like toys “, said Volchev.
In addition to the destroyed homes of hundreds of Bulgarians in Tarnovka, there are already reports of a compatriot killed by Russian shells. He was buried alive in his own house, Thule said.
Last night was a terrible bombing, the village was rocking all night, the houses were rocking. My mother is currently there, says Tule Volchev.
It is unclear whether there were other casualties from Wednesday night’s bombings.
