Moscow police have detained four people in front of the Russian Foreign Ministry building. They were dressed in Caucasian national costumes and carried toy weapons. Among those arrested is Bulgarian journalist Boris Anzov. This was reported to TASS by a source from the law enforcement agencies.
“40-year-old Boris Anzov, a native of Bulgaria, 26 years old from Georgia, 44 years old from Ukraine and a 20-year-old resident of the Moscow region were detained near the Foreign Ministry building while organizing a performance with an ensemble in national Caucasian clothes. “toy pistols, a lighter pistol, souvenir swords and a whip. One of the men was on a horse,” the source told the Russian agency.
At the police station, Anzov explained that he had come to the Foreign Ministry building to make a proposal to Maria Zaharova. An administrative protocol has been drawn up against him under Part 1 of Art. 20.1 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (petty hooliganism) with an administrative fine of 500 rubles. Toy weapons confiscated.
Media Bridge Bulgaria correspondent Boris Anzov and Maria Zaharova have known each other for a long time. The Bulgarian regularly attends the press briefings she gives. Anzov repeatedly donated Zaharova, including a hand-painted picture and a personalized Bulgarian national costume, in which she promised to do a photo shoot.
Anzov wrote on Instagram that he had come to greet Zaharova on March 8. He also published a video after his release, in which he organized a fireworks display in honor of the Moscow spokeswoman.
