Thousands gathered in Pamporovo, and hundreds of skiers and snowboarders, dressed in Bulgarian folk costumes, descended from the “Snezhanka” peak in Pamporovo and celebrated the National Day on March 3. During the festive ski procession, the crowd waved the Bulgarian tribagreniki to the sound of Rhodope bagpipes and drums.
The participants were of all ages and once again created a beautiful and patriotic atmosphere on the national holiday, which was transferred from the track to the Studenets ski area.
The event is organized on social networks and is announced as a unifying tradition, love for the mountain, homage to the liberating work of our ancestors and the beauty of our ethnographic heritage.
During the descent, ski patrols took care of the arrangement and safety of the numerous participants on the green run number 6.
The procession stopped at Studenets square, where it reverently listened and sang the Bulgarian national anthem. After that, a large crowd rolled out to the sound of folk songs.
