Bulgarian Firm to Launch Major Aircraft Repair Facility in Burgas by 2025

Burgas Airport will temporarily close to ⁢all flights ‌from 06:00 a.m. on March 7 to 23:59 p.m. on March 30, 2024, due to necessary repair work. The closure is for maintenance to improve the safety of the runway and lighting system ahead of the active 2024 summer season. This closure is⁣ part of ⁣a larger plan⁣ for the full rehabilitation‍ of the⁣ runway,which was announced to take place during the ​winter period of 2025-2026.

Additionally, the idea for creating a base ‍for flight equipment repair in Burgas was initiated 10 years ago and began to be realized⁣ in 2019. ⁤A new specialty, “Repair of Flighting ⁣equipment,” was introduced at Burgas Mechanical Engineering.
