Bulgaria will take part in the VI Francophonie Games, which will be held in the period September 27 – October 6 in the city of Beirut, Lebanon. The event is extremely important for the francophone community, which includes Bulgaria as a full member since 1993.
Our country will have its representatives both in the cultural competitions of the Games (sculpture, painting and photography) and in the sports competitions (boxing and table tennis). The photography biennial will be one of the accompanying events within the Games, during which the Bulgarian photographer Alexander Ivanov will present his exhibition “Reflections”.
In the period December 9-10, 2008, an international jury visited Sofia, which made a preliminary selection of the Bulgarian participants in the cultural contests and sports competitions of the Games.
