Bulgaria is in a mental lockdown

“Bulgaria dramatically needs a national strategy for education and science to state that they are of strategic importance. The country is in a state of mental lockdown,” said Constitutional Judge Atanas Semov.

According to the successor of Prof. Marko Semov, the budgets for culture, education and science should be at least doubled within a maximum of five years.

“This is a question of a value system. An idea of the meaning of power, the meaning of the state,” Semov said in an interview with bTV.

“The uneducated man is a man of lawlessness. The ignorant man does not know the law and does not respect it. Our economic backwardness is due to the problems in education and science,” Semov added.

According to him, if no measures are taken in this direction soon, no reforms in the field will make sense.

Regarding the decision on the citizenship of Kiril Petkov, Semov commented that it was unanimous.
